Course Development
Working together to improve online education.

As a UT faculty member, you have many demands on your time. Creating or converting a course to an online format may seem overwhelming. That’s why Digital Learning provides the Jumpstart Online Course Design & Development Program to support you in making your online course a reality. The development team will guide you in your efforts, providing research-based course design, professional video, multimedia, and a dedicated instructional designer to support your efforts. Our goal is to engage with you in a quality-focused, collaborative partnership to develop courses that promote learning for your students.

What to expect with the Jumpstart Program

In our 12-week program, you will be guided by an assigned instructional designer to transform your course into a dynamic, asynchronous online format. Our cohorts run three times a year: spring, summer, and fall.

Testimonials

“Your team really kicked my program up several notches – everything turned out much better than I anticipated. I have learned so much and applied several lessons to my in-person classes.”

Floyd Ostrowski, PMP

Assistant Professor of Practice

“My courses have been reimagined, redesigned and are way more functional and user-friendly as a result of Jumpstart. I am excited and look forward to offering my courses this Spring with the new design.”

Natasha P. Ellis, PhD

Lecturer, Sociology

“Having gone through the program – I can’t imagine doing it on my own! I know that if I tried to do it on my own, I would not get the feedback I do from my students about the course.”
